About this course

This onboarding course is designed for new Instructional Designers joining Symbiosis. While participants are already familiar with the U.S. academic system, this program introduces the specific processes, documentation, quality standards, and client LMS requirements followed at Symbiosis.

The goal is to ensure every Instructional Designer can work efficiently and consistently, using the right tools and practices to meet quality expectations before engaging with SMEs and clients.

  • Demonstrate professional meeting etiquette and communication with SMEs.
  • Apply knowledge of key course planning documents (Course Map, Vision Worksheet, Module Template) to design aligned modules.
  • Integrate Quality Matters (QM) standards and accessibility considerations into course design.
  • Navigate client LMS requirements and understand project scope to deliver effective design solutions.

Prerequisites

This course is intended for Instructional Designers with a basic understanding of course design or experience in online education. No prior experience with Symbiosis processes is required. A working knowledge of U.S. higher education course structure is recommended.
